Hey guys, I am planing to buy a combo on internet, but I don't have chance to test it. So I have 3 final combos, plz help me decide wich is better?
1. HTML Code: http://www.thomann.de/gb/kustom_de100_115_2.htm 15inch + tweeter+tube preamp, but I don't know much about the quality
2. HTML Code: http://www.thomann.de/gb/gallien_krueger_backline_bl110_basscombo.htm 3. HTML Code: http://www.thomann.de/gb/warwick_blue_cab_601.htm (1st post on talkbass) |

| | | What do you want the combo for?
Watts? (as in playing live)
Tone? (as in recording-quality)
coffee-shop concerts?
if you explain your intentions the help will be more focused.
In the mean time, the only experience I have is with the warwick blue cab, i have the 20 watts one and i use it as home-practicing and small acoustic gigs, I am happy with the sound and the last 4 years worked great (since i bought it) and im still playing it.
i'm a big combo fan. if you explain a little bit your intentions i might be able to hel p a little more. otherwise, read online reviews and be sure to check the 2nd hand market. |

| | | I am intending use it for rehearsals (2 guitars and drums play really loud) and for some small gigs.
Maybe aprox 80w -100w
am playing 5stringer, so 15'' would be nice.
Tested warvick today, and I did n ot like it, it sounded dry, it just didnt sound right.
Tried http://www.thomann.de/gb/kustom_kba_100_x.htm
It sounded nice, but those fx where not so good, that makes me think, that KUSTOM DE100-115 would sound the same.

No small combo is going to keep up with 2 guitars and drums that are really loud.
You need around 4X the wattage your guitar players are using, and at least the same speaker area just to compete.

Additionally, Acoustic combo amps ARE NOT made to "grow". Adding another cab is done in series, and comes at the expense of cutting your wattage in half.

This one seems loud as balls, and truly expandable. But, yeah, OP, generally speaking, you're gonna need a bigger boat.

Good to see Acoustic doing things right with that model. I could never understand why they do the series connections on the lower models.

Now thinking 500-800 watts into 6x10s, 2x15s, 2x12, 8x10s... well more power and more cones anyway. |

| | | | hmm, I dont think that I could afford that much power.. :/ |

| | | | I play a Fender TV Bassman 350 watts with 2 10 inch speakers. I play in a three piece but my guitar player is very loud. this amp keeps up just fine and i am using about 3/4 of what its got in it. I love this amp....love it! |

Now back to you regulary scheduled thread....

Best combo out there imho. But set the sights at 300+ watts.
