I'm going to buy this amp pretty soon, and I was thinking of buying it used. Should I get both used? Get both new? Get head used and cab new? Or get the cab used and the head new? I'm just trying to save some money, and I don't want it to break in the first week if I do buy it used. GC said they could cut me a deal and give it to me for $500 new. Acoustic B200H and B410 Stack and more Bass Amplifiers at GuitarCenter.com.

So a $550 setup for $500 isn't bad. If you get the right coupon from their emails you could get it for $475 I would think.
But to the question of which pieces to buy used? I'd say both if you can find what you're after in a condition you can live with. I love used gear because I'm a cheapskate. |

Plus you can add another 410 (keep cabs matched) later if you feel the need.

Ive dont that in the past. got an amp that was "loud as f%$&" but then i couldnt hear it at all with a band. Very frustrating. |

Very frustrating. | From what I've read and heard from people, they say that cab is plenty loud for a band, and I believe them.
