BX500 and BRX10-2

Well I just placed my order for the Carvin BX500 Amp and the BRX10-2 cabinet. I hope I made the right decision, I feel I did. Thanks to all of you who have commented on your experiences with Carvin gear. Can't wait to hear my NS Designs NXT4 EUB through this setup. Merry Christmas to me, yeah! Those damn Mayans better be wrong!

All my bass amps are Carvin. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Had my BX500 since 2009, just sold it only because I'm giving up playing out. Great amp and will sound great with the cab you got, owned two of them.

I played this exact rig for a bit. Great range of tones.

Still have the cab. Sold the head because I never used it after the purchase of the Hartke Kilo and the Genz Steamliner 900.

Pull all the ribbon connecters and clean them prior to running it.

Do a search on the BX 500. Lots of threads.

Thanks for the advice on the ribbon cables. I have read the posts concerning them. Lots of experience with electronics components and ribbon cables so it shouldn't be a problem. Are you saying I should clean them even though the unit is brand new?

Both items were suppose to be in stock but no notice of shipment today even though per their web site the order should have shipped today. I hope they don't delay to long, want it now. Anyone else ever have that problem?

Yes. Although I love my carvin amps the company has more than once shipped an item and not sent an e-mail or tracking # causing me to call CS and ask for one. Not unusual.

Wow! Just got a shipped notification from Carvin, those shipping guys must work late. Now once UPS enters their stuff I should find out my delivery date. Awesome!

Amp and cabinet arrived in great shape. Only got to play with it a little but OH YEAH!!!! I think I'm in love. So far I am sooooooo pleased. If my double bass sounds as good as my EUB through this setup I will truly be in heaven. Thanks again to all the people whose comments helped me decide on Carvin gear. Carvin you rock!
