I'm thinking about buying a Markbass NYC 115. The cab is 8 ohms and rated at 400 watts. Now at 8 ohms my head puts out 300watts. But at 4 it does 500 watts. When I eventually add another cab to make it a 4 ohms load, would this be too much for the markbass 115 to handle? (I know this gets asked a lot, but it's better to be safe than sorry.)

500/2 cabs = 250 watts/cab

Should be fine.

Ah, thank you for clearing that up for me! (I get so confused with the ohms and watts and all that jazz.)

Ummm. I think that will sound (and look) real good. Especially in the future if you add a second identical 115. Nice
