| BXL3000 Bass Amp Settings

So I got the BXL3000, don't hate I know it isn't the best, but it was a gift so I can't complain much. I also play a Ibanez SR505. I am having the hardest time getting a good tone. (especially confused because of the eq sliders opposed to the knobs on other amps) on top of that my Ibanez has a High, Low, and Mid knob. So my question is what are some good settings for a good metal sound I'm in a metal band, and I feel like I am always tweaking my sound and just cant get it right. Any response greatly appreciated it.
