Sounds great.

I'm considering a couple of the SVT Micro 2x10's stacked vertically, to get some speakers up higher. Also thinking about trying it through a 15", although at 8 ohms it might not get loud enough for me. |

I have used 1 and 2 SVT15's and much preferred only using one if them. With 2 it was a tad muddy. For bedroom practice and quiet gigs my GK Neo112II is just about perfect. |

It's a loud cab & helps the V4BH get 'up there' when needed. I've described it previously as sounding like explosions going off when this combo was used.
The V4BH, just on the verge of severe break up (when U dig in) thru the NV610 - damn!!!
So this amp
But with THIS cab

Two guitarists each playing with 100 watt combo amps. We all also play through the board and use in ear monitors. My only complaint is the weight. The thing is heavy but totally worth it.
I'm currently on the hunt for a SVT 115 to add to the stack.

Fliptops 2x15 vintage cab (B25) wired in 4 ohms.
It sounds amazing. |

I recall one show I played with the 810 where I wanted more volume but it was a big room and the bass wasn't going through the PA.
Loved the 115 for recording but it didn't have enough push live with the V4BH. When I got my Orange AD200B the cab was far better with more headroom behind it.
I sold my V4BH to a friend who used it with a Mesa roadready 2x10, not my sound but it cranked. His band is absurdly loud and somehow it cut through. |

THAT was sublime. Definitely the more speakers the better if you want loud. I had to push mine a tad too hard for my liking, and switched to a 200 watt amp instead, but I like it clean. I do miss the V4BH tone though, it's unlike other Ampeg tube amps. Warmer, I think.

IMO they need a non ported cab... or a cab like schroeder's that are really tight on the low end.

Why is'nt this a feature on more amps?

Out of interest, which pre-amp tubes have any users got the best results with?

Plenty loud too. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
