I am looking at the Fender Pro 6x10 and 2x15. I am wondering what others who have this head use? Thanks!

I've never seen this head paired with anything but an old ampeg 8x10...with that said, everytime I've heard a bassist play through one, I wish I had bought the 300 instead of my GK

I'd expect a Bergantino NV610 would sound fantastic with it.

Depends on what sound you are going for - but personally, I'd go with the 2x15 in the vein of the old Sunn amps. That head with that cab = some serious thump!

I have a friend who's a Fender endorser, started out with the 300 and the 810 Pro. He didn't like the Sunn sound of the 300 so he switched to an SVT, but he loves the 810 Pro's sound.

I run mine through a Fender Pro 4x10(discontinued?) but would have bought the 6x10 if it had been released when I bought the amp. I have no complaints but also have never played the amp through any other cabs.

The Sunn branded version sounds great through a Musicman HD2x10 & HD2x12.

I think 12s are under-rated for bass. The Marshall VBC412 4 ohm cab would probably sound fantastic with the 300 Pro.

Precisely. This amp pretty much begs for 15s. By the end of next summer, I hope to be running one with 4 15s.

Although, I'd seriously consider getting two of those marshall 4x12s and running it as a full stack. I might produce a bit of a mess in my.......uh.........."tent" if I did though.

The Fender 8x10 Pro.It freakin rips walls down & them 2x15 would probaly do the same.
Plus the cabs are the exact size for the 300pro.

I use a 2x15 with 2x6's made by Don Oatmam at LDS. It was inexpensive, made to order, and it sounds perfect. My only complaint is that the head is of an odd size and it sort of looks funny sitting on the cab. Sound more than makes up for that and it sort of looks cool anyway. Just talked to Don at LDS and he will make his cabs Fender sixe free of charge, wish I'd known that when I ordered, but still, it is a unique look and like I said,m the sound is undeniable.

I have both the fender 610 and the 215, you cant go wrong with either of them, but at the moment I am tending toward the 215 a bit more as it just has such a good vintage tubey oomph to it with fuzzy walls of doom. Plus there is very little difference to me in the highs being audible.. so the 215 is a win to me. There also isnt any real volume difference from the 610 even with the less speaker area, (even if there was that head can get plenty loud to compensate) and the 215 is a little cheaper. If youre on the ball you can find a deal where itll be around $800.

I personally did not like it with an ampeg cab. Hoping to soon pickup a berg to put it with at times, but that isnt the same size as the head which is a bit of a neg. for me.

btw.. anyone whos a 300pro user.. I would really appreciate your comments on this thread: My Letter/Suggestion to Fender (300PRO content)
