Cab Choice

We received a MB LMT-800 for our church and although I don't really like the tone that well it's all we have and beggars can't be choosy. We have an old Ampeg 410 that's on it last leg and I've recommend getting a 212. I've volunteered to buy it since I really want one and can use it for both home and church.

I've narrowed my choices from what I've read to a GB Uber 212T and the Bergatino HD 212. Both have a street value of around $800 and are lightweight cabinets (and hopefully they'll make this Mark Bass amp sound better).

I know the Bergatino cabs get a lot of love on here - but it seems like a majority of the TBers are home based bedroom users and not lugging them around to different gigs. I know there are some of you that gig them and I'm not referring to you. The GB also seems to get a lot of love and I do see a lot of these in gigging situations.

For better or worst, one of my acid tests is to search the amp classifieds and see what equipment turns over the most. Neither of these come up very often. Since I'm in HI there's not a lot of opportunity test equipment and I rely on my TB for info. Sensitivity is almost identical 102 / 103 so efficiency is good. Any advice is appreciated.

I play a Markbass Traveler 151P with my LMIII head. Sounds fine to me. 45.75 lbs. $600 new.

Those are both really good choices. I've toured the Uber 212...very nice, got a pretty hefty low mid thing, but a very nice cab. The Berg will most likely sound deeper to you... Overall, I guess I'd go with the Berg
