I want to order a new custom cover for my new fEARful 15/6 and I was wondering who makes the best cover for the most reasonable price. How much should I expect to pay?

I really like the looks of this brand "studio slips". The clamshell version in particular looks very protective...

I've been using LeCover for years and never had complaints… if any problem, Larry always take care of business…
Quality, IME, the two company are similar, Larry is a little more affordable….

+1 Both companies are good people. We are currently working with LeCover and Larry has been a great guy from the start. He even went so far as getting a new machine in just for us because he wanted to be able to deliver a little better stitching work around the handle cutouts. He also sourced out a new material for us, as I wanted something a little different from their normal padded stock. (I admit, I'm very picky about our companies stuff and I have to give Larry props for just putting up with me)

The folks at Studio Slips make a really nice cover, for sure, but the price point was just to high for us to be able deliver an affordable cover to the end user. For a one off, their stuff is very nice, if you don't mind the price.

My 2 cents for Custom Amp Covers, inc.
Amplifier Covers, they took my order over the phone and had me measure the cab or head myself for double checking. Go to their website and check out what they offer...............................

i to have nothing but great things to say about Larry (leCover).

i had him make me a very unique and very complicated cover for my super beatle cab (with the trolley), and he got it perfect on the very first one. i sent him a ton of dimensions and angles to accomodate the cab/trolley and when it arrived it fit like a glove.

here's the amp:

here it is with the 'custom cover' vinyl covers:

and here's the cab with Larry's padded cover over the whole cab & stand:

i don't know of any other company that would even attempt to make me a cover like this, and especially get it right the first time.

I own both LeCover and Tuki covers, both make good quality products. I have had to talk to Larry on the phone several times when ordering covers where he needed the dimensions. The covers they made fit perfectly.

D2F Covers. No doubt, thy're from Kirkland, WA. Everywhere I go in Spain with my "fridge" covered by d2fcover, people ask me where can they buy one like that.
Sorry I've not pictures at the moment, but I'll upload one or two soon.
D2Fcovers = Nice price, high quality & professional.

LeCover and Tuki covers are very similar. I prefer LeCover at this point. They are a bit more 'individual consumer' oriented versus than Tuki is at this point.

I always order my LeCovers without the big LeCover logo on the cover.... small point, but it looks better to me. $10 option (makes sense if you think about it as 'he's giving you a $10 discount to advertise his brand).

Also, for cabs with a smooth spray on finish, for another $10 (I think), you can get a nice bottom strap (velcro attachment) to keep the cover on when you slide the cab into your car, van, etc. Nice option.

IMO!

I agree that LeCover and Tuki are very similar. I disagree a bit on Tuki not being individual consumer oriented though. Gary and company have always responded to my custom requests immediately and flawlessly.

I've been amazed at how fast they have turned around items designed and made from scratch, often in days. I was the first to request a Schroeder 15+L and an AudioKinesis 112 padded cover from them; in both cases I had the completed cover at my door in under ten days. Perfect fit!

I also go with the no logo option

I am a bit confused when you all say that you had excellent customer service with Larry. I have e-mailed him about getting a quote, with no response. I've called twice, leaving messages both times. Sill no response. Is he not taking orders or something? But I have to say that his products are great. I got one of his covers with a cab I bought used, and it's great.

I think in these last times they were updating/rearranging stuff…
but Larry always been very good in taking care, at least, of me..
I just had a custom cover delivered few weeks ago (in one week time) and a new one on its way… they had some issues with one of the stitching machine and he sent me an email to let me know about it….

I've had both. The LeCover looked very nice but the Tuki cover was thicker, more durable, and had a bottom strap that kept it from sliding up. I'd go with Tuki if I had to order another cover.

In talking with both companies, I found you can order covers in a few different material choices and with, or without a bottom strap. If you want a more durable fabric, ask for the Cordura. It's a bit tougher than the polyester, although it does cost more.

+1

and even with all the options, LeCover still a little more affordable than Tuki (the difference is little, tho)

Coveramps.com is in Canada so I like that, but two concerns are that I am not sure how much padding is offered and the vinyl looks heavy. I bought a light weight cab so it doesnt make much sense to buy a heavy-ish cover.

xx

The studio slips looks really high quality and the brown seems very nice.

Decisions decisions!

Studio Slips made a very nice padded cover for my 15/6. Great product and great service. It was a while back and I don't recall the price, but it was competitive with the other companies mentioned in this thread.
