What do you think about pairing the Ashdown 414T Deep Cab (4ohms) with the 330 Spyder head? Good combination?

Thanks

On occasion I use the Ashdown 414T with a Spyder 550 head. And it sounds very solid. And it definitely brings that brick wall sound with it.

I love this combo a lot.

Yeah, I've seen that 550 head around aswell, the reason why I've overlooked it is because the Ashdown cab is 450W but the head is 550W.

Wouldn't be too much power for the cab to handle? what to do to make sure you're getting full power but not over working it?

the 330 could just as easily blow the cab.

Odds are the cab will blow before it gets to the thermal rating (450) because of the mechanical limitations.

Just keep a mindful ear out and you won't blow the cab. If it sounds like its distorting or bottoming out then turn it down. Really you'd like your head to have a lot of clean head room so you're not clipping it there.
