Can anyone tell me the model of this cab? Other than being an Ampeg. ;-)

It looks like an Ampeg B410HE, though it is difficult to verify from the photo. It is missing the 2nd logo from the bottom-right, so get them to knock down the price

I think it's a PN-410HLF as it's a ported cab and has a grill as opposed to mesh.

Can anyone confirm?

Ampeg: Pro Neo Series - PN-410HLF

Good eye! I didn't notice the ports.

The PN410 has bar holes in the grill... Of course, grill options may have been available at one time...

That narrows it down to the B410HLF or BSE410HLF, which, like the ad, is missing the lower-right logo, so might be the perfect match.

And no, I have not had any chance to try them, so can't comment on their sound/worth!

Definitely not. It's carpeted by the looks of it, I'd say it's almost certainly one of the BSE series cabs. They were basically the same as the B and series but carpeted (I think) with metal grills. They were discontinued a few years ago. I think they're all a lower end version of the SVT series cabs, similar but slightly different speakers, materials, design, etc.

+1

I believe Victor Wooten used to endorse them for a time. I saw him play a show in Atlanta in about 2006 and he had an Ampeg rig with these cabs. I think about this time there were ads in Bass Player with Victor extolling the virtues of this series of cabs as well. I have no idea if $400 is a good deal for this cab. It is probably a solid performer and will neither wow you or disappoint you. My guess is it's sort of a middle of the road 4x10. Good luck!

I think there was a specific series that was the wooten signature line as well. As best I recall they were the BXT line and had red coloring on the baffle boards.

Yeah. I think you are right. I couldn't see the baffle color at the show due to the stage lights, but in the print ads I do recall them having a red tint.

Thanx for your help guys!

I think I'll pass on it since it's a lower end cab. The last thing I need is a cab that will fart out on me. I'm a 5 stringer mostly.

Cheers
