| | | | Cab options? 1x15, or another 2x10?

So right now, on top of college, I'm doing 3 band projects. Thanks to doing well in high school, I'm getting a little cash back. I've budgeted about $500 of it back to add a cab to my rig. Right now, I run a GK 1001-RB head into a Carvin RedLine 2x10 cab, upgraded with 600 watt neo speakers. I absolutely love the sound I get, just, I don't want to risk blowing the 2x10's at practice. At shows, I used my direct out, and it's no biggie. But at practice, I jam with drummers who like to wail on their kits like animals. With my main band, I don't have cab issues, I use a GK GoldLine 8x10 [i know, suckish, but since i was on a budget, and they're just deathcore, it works.] I don't care for the 8x10 sound, but It's easy to leave over at that practice area for shows. Now with my other bands, one is a hardcore band [think AttackAttack! second album, minus the synth], and the other is post-hardcore with synth [think the Devil Wears Prada Zombie EP meets Asking Alexandria's new album]. For those, I lug around the 2x10. I drive a little 03 Mustang, so my rack takes up the trunk, and my 2x10 takes up half of the back seat. I use a 5 string Spector Legend in two of my band's for Drop A# [and drop G# in the deathcore band, which is irrelevent, because i have an 8x10 there.] and a 4 String Peavey Grind in the other in drop C. My question is, the 2x10 cutes nicel through the mix, but I need to add an extra cab to my rig. What would be the best between a 2x10, a 1x15? I already know either way I want to go with Carvin's Neo series. [don't recommend me 4x10s, 8x10s, 6x10s, or anything silly I cant fit in my car.] |

It also looks like a wicked little tower of power, too
Peace,
Greg

| Why screw around with the unknown when you like the sound you have now? Add another identical cab and you're good. |

Use one for low volume gigs, two for gigs with silly drummers. I can get two Jacks in the back of my wife's Ion so you should have no trouble getting them in your mustang.
Go to Bill's site and we'll help you out.
