Cab for Peavey Mark III 400BH bass head

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

Actually being a drummer I've finally got myself my own bass and nice oldschool Peavey Mark III 400 BH amp.

Now I'm looking a matching cabinet for this amp. The amp specs are 210W/4 ohm & 300W/2ohm.

Any recommendations? You guys have more experiences which parts belong better together and give a nice result.

Of course it would be nice to have oldschool Peavey 215c 2x15" cab, but here in Estonia ( European Union) there ain't many of them laying around..

Thanks,
Matiz

I had a Mark IV head for a few years (similar). Ran it through a Peavey 115 cab with just a Scorpion speaker in it. Sounded great for the price. Sometimes I'd use two of those cabs for outdoors.

I'm a recent convert to two 115 cabs. My bag ends are just great- clear, portable, and really suit older SS heads like my GK's. I think the same would be true for a MarkIII. Finding a Peavey 115 would also work.

Peaveys are flexible in their tone controls, even though the preamp does tend to have a signature peavey tone to it. That is to say, I think that they are suitable to many different cabinets.
