Cab stacking question: mesa content

Sign in to disble this ad
I am playing an outdoor gig tonight and for ***** & giggles (and the recent thread on what to take to an outdoor show) I am taking both my cabs... a powerhouse 212 (4ohm) and a kappa 3015 loaded diesel 115 (8ohm) and stack them.

So– what should I put on top?

Fathom/M6 (set to 2 ohms).

I know it's not a conventional pairing, but it's what I've got, so I thought I'd give it a try.

I'd put the 15 under, cause I'd want to hear the horn on the 212.

I used to run an SWR 2x12 with a 15" Mesa. I tried it both ways and ended up running the 15 on the top because it had more mids.
