cab volume levels

Sign in to disble this ad
if a cab does not have a volume control should i just assume that only goes to 11?

specifically wondering about avatar 210 neo's

The only cab's that I know of that have a volume control are powered P.A. cabs

He may be referring to the horn volume. At least thats what I assumed

A cab is generally just a box with some speakers.

The volume dial on the amp controls volume

No, most cabs only go to 10 unless you have them specially modified.

Correct. I have an Avatar Neo B210 and it only goes to 11.

lol ok

so what i meant was since there is no volume i wonder if its always just as loud as it goes. and that was totally a spinal tap joke about volume.

so apparently the my combo amp would set how loud it is for both the combo AND the cab?

A cab is just a box with speakers in it. the amp (or your combo in this case) controls the volume. I take it you are refering to an extension cab for your combo?
