hmmm....I'm at a crossroads. I'm currently using a LH1000 head. I'm getting some new cabs and can't make up my mind which to get at the moment. I just sold my Aggie GS410 and am planning to pickup some new Hartke Hydrive cabs.

I'm currently between (2) of the new 112s they have out or (2) of the Hydrive 410s. Or...I could get (1) 112 and (1) 410. The 112s sound amazing, as do the 410s. The 410 stack would be awesome for the wall of sound for big gigs, modular for (take (1) 410)) medium gigs, and I currently have a 210 for small gigs. The (2) 112s are very modular, but my concern is for larger gigs with this setup.

The 112s are rated at 300w each. The 410s are rated at 1000w each. Ya, the 410s would be total overkill for most anything, but what a glorious overkill it would be.

Also note that whichever set I don't get right away, I'll pickup sometime in the future as funds present themselves.

First, the power rating of a cab has little to do with anything, so don't really focus on that too much.

I would HIGHLY recommend that you step back just a little bit and think about what you need. I can see trying to decide between a 2 x 112 rig and a 410 rig, since the output of those two configuration is somewhat similar, with the primary difference being tone.

2 x 112 versus 2 x 410 is a huge difference in size, weight, and output.

I would think your real choice would be between bridging your LH1000 into one 8ohn 410 or running it 'dual mono' into two 8ohm 112's.

Besides 'tone', your preference for one large cab or a two cab modular rig would be key.

you make a very good point there. Definitely some "sound" advice to chew on. (sorry for the lame pun)

BTW...love those ACs in your profile pic.
