Exclamation Cabinet doing weird stuff!! SWR Goliath Sr. HELP!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I just purchased this cabinet, I am running it with the kustom 1200 that came from a kustom 310c.

Here is the problem. Whenever I play it I am getting weird vibrations/buzz with certain midrange notes at high volumes.. all the speakers appear to be in fine working order... no tears or creases. I took out the speakers and looked at the connections all look to be ok..

I do notice however when I play that the speakers seem to go out of sequence... or like start moving at different times when the noise is made. I dont know what that is......

also the horn doesn't work, but I dont think that has any bearing on this problem.. but maybe?

anyways any help is very very very appreciated!!!!!!!!

Are you familiar with the 9v battery test? If the speakers are wired correctly, they'll all move in or out at the same time when a 9v battery is connected to them.

Also remove the grill, then spread your fingers as evenly as you can around the speaker cone. If your gently press on the speaker so if moves in and out on it's suspension, it shoud do so quietely. When doing this, do you hear a scraping noise or feel and friction?
