which cabinet for Svt3pro .. i'd like a 2x10

My current gig-rig is a Ampeg PR410 + SVT6pro, this rig is too big for some of the places we play, so I'm looking to set up a smaller rig with my Svt3pro... Can somebody recommend a good cabinet to pair with it... I'd prefer 4 ohms, but it doesn't matter much as I can always rewire the speakers inside the cabinet anyways.

the new Ampeg Neo series seems cool, but a lot of $$$...

My music type is rock/blues/classic rock and I do play low at times (low D and low C)... but I can deal with it not having as much punch as my big rig for the low notes...

Thanks!
-J

I currently run my SVT3Pro and Tech21 RBI through an Avatar B210 Neo and could not be happier. Great warm punch, light weight, and it has noticeably better tone than my Ampeg 410.

The 6Pro is a great amp, and has a cool feature labelled, "volume". No rig is TOO BIG, except maybe weight-wise. But if a 2x10 rig will make you happy, you should plug your 3Pro into as many as are available, and use your ears to judge them with. Also, you cannot "re-wire" an 8 ohm 2x10 and get 4 ohms.

Exactly. When my 410 rig is too loud (on some small stages), I suggest lowering all low end content below 200hz. While thinking a smaller cab is the way to go, sometimes you limit yourself too much and when you need a little more at gigs, you will not have it. On small stages, soundmen hate when a cab fills too much of the room. All sounds 200hz and below are the problem areas I have found. These frequencies spill over into the room and ruin the mix out front. By decreasing them, you will get more of midrangey tone, BUT you do not bleed horribly into the room. You don't have to necessarily KILL the frequencies below 200hz, just enough so they don't boom as much. As always, there is a VOLUME control.
