Cabinets for Mesa Boogie 400+

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello everyone.
I'm new to the forum, but I read it a long time.

I have the ability to retrieve a Mesa Boogie 400+ head, that long ago stole from me.
I loved the sound of this head.
I want to put some 1x15 cabs, but I do not want to ruin in a powerhouses.
I have spoken to me, very well of the Laney Nexus with Celestion neodymium.
Can you give me some suggestion.
A greeting and thanks.

An older Mesa Deisel 215 would be the perfect mate to that amp. Congrats on recovering it.

Currently, Mesa Boogie distributes vintage powerhouse and powerhouse cabinets only, in Spain.

go boogie.

Matched sets are designed to work together, and perform optimally. Just shop used...You will not be disappointed.

I run 2 road ready 1x15s with kappalite 3015s from a boogie M2000. Best tone evar. (I've had)

Would you mate a fine Thoroughbred with Tony the Pony?
Mesa + Mesa = Goodness!
Thieves stink on ice, off with their heads.
Good Luck!

Powerhouse 1000,,,, I use one with my head and honestly even at live shows when mic'd and in a pinch its as easy as moving the mic from the 15 to the 10 or vise-versa to get a completly different sound and not having to deal with the sound guy bitching,,, so for venues that echo mic the 10 and small clubs I mic the 15 --> I hate going direct and like my stuff eq'd as much as possible at my head--> I tell them to start flat and let me find the sound and it works out great.

Thank you all for your answers. In the end I'm going to buy two Mesa Boogie 1x12 cabs. I guess that I have.

Now I'm changing the tubes to the head.

curiosity:
Someone knows who is the manufacturer of the tubes mesaboogie? Sovtek? Electro harmony?

Thanks

Mesa tubes were previously all Sovteks, but they have started to use Chinese manufacturers. Coincidentally Electro Harmonix tubes are also made by Sovtek.
