cabs!! think this is the place!!

i picked up a speaker box which our rehersal studio was chuckin out!! it a 15 with a horn,it has crossover,its a peavey hisys 2 pa,i dont know if the crossovers fried yet,or how to wire it!!!! but im wondering whether i can just wire the horn and speaker in paralelle or do i need to use a crossover??[IMG]<a href="http://s82.photobucket.com/albums/j269/thunderider/?action=view&amp;current=98989407.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j269/thunderider/98989407.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>[/IMG]

Agreed on *wrong forum*- I'd guess it belongs in *amps*
On that note, while being far from knowledgeable on this, I'd imagine you really want to use a crossover to avoid running low end through the horn/tweeter & high end through the bass driver. Not sure if running w/o the crossover would damage things but I'm guessing it would sound bad.

It would sound bad, but not for long, two or three notes is all it would take to blow the horn.

Can't see the pics. If you want you can leave the xover/horn out of the equation and wire the 15 straight to a jack and play it....provided the 15 works. Leave the horn mounted in the box just to plug the hole. Pics or a more detailed explanation would help.
