Cabs w/ Built-In Racks

So, I was just looking at the Carvin website, thinking about an economical way to come up with a small, portable rig for carrying on the subway and I found myself looking at the BR510N and BR515N combos.

It's been a long time since I did any shopping for a rig. Do any other manufacturers make cabinets that have a built-in 2-space rack like those Carvins? I know that Peavy did years ago, but I just don't know what's out there any more.

Ideally, I'd love to find a 112 Neo with a 2-space rack, but I might be pushing my luck there. I could manage those Carvins on the subway, but something even smaller - and lighter would be even better.

The reason I like the idea of the rack mount instead of a regular combo is that there are a lot of bars in NYC that already have a cabinet in house, so I could just bring the light-weight head to those gigs in my bass bag.

Anybody have any insight?

Thanks-
E

I dont know of too many manufacturers making airhead cabinets these days. My airhead is from the early 90s and not being made anymore (Eden D-AH, 2x10 with 4 rack spaces).
your best bet might be to contact Don at LDS, or another custom cab maker, about getting a custom cabinet made in your 1x12- 2 rack space config.

AFAIK, Mesa doesn't sell their 'airhead' 2x12 cabinet as a stand alone, but I found an M6 Carbine combo. The amp can be replaced with any 2 space head, as seen in the pic. It's a bit heavy though, even for a neo cab. Sounds great and gets the job done.

For 1x12, you could go with the Walkabout, very popular here on TB, but the head rack is mounted on the rear and it isn't a full 2 spaces.
