Unhappy CAN 4 OHM AMP RUN 2, 8 OHM SPKRS?

I have a 1970 Fender Bandmaster Reverb, 45 watts, over-sized cab with 2 12's. Amp says 4 OHMS. I need to replace the 2 12's with 2 8-ohm 12's. Is this ok to do? Will I get more power?

Yes, two 8ohm speakers wired in parallel is a 4ohm load. Will you get more power? Probably not. Most tube amps put out the same power whether at a 4 or 8 ohm load. The bandmaster isn't a high wattage amp, but it should still be pretty loud...it's basically a twin reverb in head form.

Not a Twin which has four 6L6 power tubes, more like a Super because it's got only two output tubes.
