Can an Acoustic B200 sufficiently push an etension cab?

I bought and Acoustic B200, and am considering buying either the 450Watt 4x10 cab or the 250 watt 1x15 cab, but I'm worried that the potential to increase volume would be outweighed by the preamp simply not being powerful enough to push the cab. Which cab, if any, would give me more volume?

I'd use the 410 when I want volume - but I also use a B-450 which has a 600 Watt head in it.

But I've heard the 200 do a pretty good job. You won't hurt the amp of the cab either way. Just don't 13 o'clock the controls for all day and make sure it gets some air.

The 4x10 would probably give you more speaker area, which would be louder. Also preamps do not drive speakers, that is the power amp.

For ease of transport and being able to switch driver cabs at will - next time I'd get the B-600 head and use it with all my other Acoustic cabs mixed/matched as desired.

The B-450 is super good and punchy - but I think now I would rather have the separate head.

I've got every Acoustic driver & cab except the Neos and they all sound great and move a lot of air - but it depends where you're playing too.

Inside
Outside
Big auditorium
Bedroom

Don't try it in the bathroom - the sustain will drive you nuts! Don't ask how I know.

Mostly what we're playing is smaller to mid sized venues, art galleries, cafes, etc. All inside at the moment.

You should be fine - and if you don't need lots of projection, then the 115 is a smooth low-ender too.
