I'd be happy to return the favor if yer ever in NY. Info on the show is below. Don't really want to play through the PA, but it's looking like that's what might happen if I don't get some help. Thanks for looking, all bumps appreciated.

I think that place used to be called Alladin's. I've played the Highland Theatre just up the road a block or so, eons ago. Great vibe (artsy) in that part of town

If you drop a "borrowed" one i hope they are paying you hundreds for the gig....I would feel so bad accidentally dropping someones cab that went out of their way to lend it to a stranger...I would never put myself in that position.

In less than 30 days when the gig is over, you could return it no questions asked for a full refund. As unethical as you can get, so I wouldn't personally do it but I sometimes I wonder if stuff I'm buying there has gone this route. Good luck with the search and if you're ever in need closer to the Cincinnati end of the state PM me I've got just about anything you could ever need. |

I only found out earlier today that there was no bottom at this particular club. there were supposed to be backlines for all the gigs. We're headed out in one car. Four of us, napsacks, some drums, a buncha guitars, an amp and some heads. Looking forward to some fun. What's even better is I just also found out we're playing with 2 hardcore bands. The Happy Problem (2nd video below)! Yeehah! Gotta love it. |

If you really need $50 then play, but I guarantee everyone will be upstairs when you go on and you'll play to no one. That's not a dig at you guys, that's just the kind of place it is. Their shows start at 10 or 1030, so if you're going on last you'll be playing at 1am. I know it's super short notice and a total a-hole move to the club, but see if there's a show more suited towards your style of music at the Matinee (almost right next door), Musica (downtown Akron) or the Stone Tavern in Kent (about 20 mins away). Stone Tavern usually gets good traffic from Kent State Univ. as it's right downtown, and Matinee and Musica cater to hipsters. Any of the three will be way better than playing to a bunch of tough guys.
The sound is pretty good actually, i've played there a million times and they've really got it sounding good. Back in the day the power would go out and a guy would literally go to the panel off the side of the stage and stand in a puddle flipping breakers. Things are totally safe now, so don't worry about it. You could easily get away with a sansamp. The system isn't huge, but the room is pretty small too. It's more than enough for the size of the basement.
Idk who booked you, but if it was Brad he is a super good dude, him and I go way back. Usually since the shows are free they give you a percentage of the basement bar sales. I've gone home with $200 and $20 depending on sales. I'm sure they went over all that with you.
If something happens and you need a cab in a pinch let me know by Thursday, I don't have my cabs at home they're about 30 mins away at our spot, but I could bring one home. The cab is a 1000w 4x12 loaded with Eminence Betas. I live 10 mins from Annabells. I would love to come see you but I have 9 hours of school Saturday and my 6 year old all weekend, which effectively rules out any shows.

The happy problem sandwiched btwn 2 hardcore metal bands. We gave it our all and it went better than great. As much as i hate to say it, but this aint ny. People elsewhere in our country are nice. We rocked the place. Decent size crowd. We surprisingly drew more in as we played. Our 1/3 of 25% came out to $60. Hatecore inc is a bunch of really awesome dudes, and if youre into that kind of music i highly reccomend u check them out. Thanks for all the good vibes to everyone here. We're on our way home! |

I'm still sad I couldn't come see you guys, but I'm glad you had a great set and response from the crowd. Definitely let me know if you're coming back.
