I got my ha5500 for $180 and love it, i can get any sound i want out of it. I paired it with a swr goliath senior 6x10 that i got for $150 and it louder than ill ever need. I practice with my band on sound level 4 and my ears almost want to bleed lol

I have an HA5500 that I've had for at least 10 years. They are really reliable and definitely get you heard in the mix with two guitarists. I use it with a 4x10 and a 1x15 and it's always gotten me where I need to go but I definitely agree with maybe using an 8x10 or 2 4x10's instead. The 15 just doesn't seem to want to keep up at higher volumes and I'm always worrying about blowing the 15 but as far as the Hartke head, I'd say go with that. It has a lot of mid frequencies to it naturally which makes it really punchy so that you can hear the attack of every note you play. Good bang for your buck. I recently purchased an ampeg SVT 2 PRO and I love the tone of that more of course because it's all tube, but the thing is a baby and is very finicky so I always have my Hartke (which I'm using now lol) for when my Ampeg isn't having a good day. Go with the Hartke, I have also used it in a metalcore band and it kept up fine and sounded great.

I based by statement on the fact that it is not listed on their website. It's not listed at Guitar Center either.

I see as many Hartke rigs as any other in my neck of the woods, and they don't seem to have any trouble "competing".

Havent mentioned that its maybe the loudest 500 watter I have played through.

Well they do; and it comes with an LH500 in combo form. http://www.samsontech.com/hartke/pro...-combos/5210c/

It just has a 2U space built in and includes the LH500. You could sell the LH-500 part and put in your own racked head. However the "combo" can have another speaker added to it. It's just not technically a separate cabinet.
