Can I use a dc stereo integrated amplifier ka-7100 as an amp?

I've just sold my crappy 15W practice amp, and I'm looking for an amp. I'm a bit short on cash, and found this old record player in my parent's garage, along with an amp, and some speakers. The amp is a Kenwood dc stereo integrated amplifier ka 7100. I was wondering if it's possible to plug my bass (an ibanez GSR100) into it, and use the speakers. There are four speakers, two small ones (Toshiba) and two larger ones (PW-305). If possible, what would the connections be, and adapters I might need, if any. If it's useful I've also got a Zoom G1-X effects pedal. The setup would be solely for home-use, as everything is much too heavy for gigging. Also, I might be getting an active bass, if I can sell my gsr, so I'll be using that on the amps next. I can take and post pictures of everything if it's necessary. Thanks in advance.

HiFi equipment is not suitable for plugging your bass into. First, none of the interfaces on a stereo amp have a complementary input impedance, so this will not reproduce your signal properly. You might be able to use the Line Out jacks on the G1-X into the Auxiliary (AUX) input on the Kenwood: you will need to be careful with the signal level across this connection. The G1-X is built for electric guitar, so I'm not going to venture a guess as to how it will sound with bass. Connection would be a Y-cable, with a stereo 1/4-inch plug on one end, and two RCA connectors on the other. Google Hosa Technology TRS204.

Second, stereo speakers usually can't hold up to the low frequency pounding that your bass will put out. The small Toshibas will most likely become toasters, and I have no idea what the larger ones are.

Save your money and energy for a purpose-built bass rig.

cool

Ok, I can I should probably just set up the record player on everything, and use them solely as a stereo system. I'm trying to save up for a new bass (possibly a Schecter Omen 5-string or a Stiletto Custom 6) and if possible an amp as well.

What bass amp would you recommend I get? I'm going to get it used (either from craigslist or eBay) so I probably won't be able to try it out.
