Can a Marshall MB4210 combo handle a low b

Sign in to disble this ad
I've played a smaller marshall combo and the tone of it amazed me. As I've have recently got money for once I'm looking to upgrade my amp and the Marshall MB4210 has caught my eye as its a good price £340, good wattage (300w) and you can upgrade it with a additional cab (making it 450w). But will a 2 10" handle a low b string for the moment.

I believe that it will more than likely break up and start to distort...

Hi.

Up to a point it will...

Whether that point is to Your liking or not, it's up to you.

For example my SWR WM10 (80W) "handles" low F#, even at a bar gig volume, as long as there's PA to provide the required power to help everyone else to hear it as well.

Regards
Sam

I dont know about the low B string but I do know that the two new MB4210 Marshall I had were not very powerful for a 300 Watt amp, the first one went back as I thought it had a fault, got a replacement which was the same, sent that back and got an upgrade to a GK MB210 which was far better although more expensive .
Shame as the Marshall had nice tone but I suspect the Marshall had crap speakers as standard, the other thing with the Marshall was its weight, it damn near put my back out every time I lifted it !!
I see you are in Andover, I am in Basingstoke, if you want to try my GK out you are welcome, you can check your B string

I regret purchasing this amp, fell in love with the tone, but it's not a very reliable amp. Wish I had spend the money better.
