Can Shuttle 3.0/10 handle the low B?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'd like to buy a Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0/10 combo and a fiver (Zon import or Human Base X oc) as a X-mas present. I wonder if the 3.0 can handle the low B. I'll use the 3.0 mainly for home practice.

Yes! I owned one about a year ago, and it handled it very well.

Why did I sell it? Ran into some financial problems, and had to sell, but would pick one up in a heartbeat again.

I own one and played it last night in drop D. While I do not have a 5 string these days it handles the drop D on on on of my basses with ease.

Yes-I used mine last night (and it was with my free Genz gig bag I received as part of the offer when I bought it-as well as a $25 gift card).

It handles the lows, but the 10" speaker can only produce so much. I also went through the PA using post eq DI and that produced a super-deep tone (with the bass knob just at 1pm and the LF NOT activated). In fact, it was too deep for our speakers...when I went pre-eq it handled my bass better in the PA.

So...yes, it can handle the low B.

The 3.0-10T handles a B string just fine, as long as you don't try to over-play the amp. I A/Bed this one with the 8" version and there's a world of difference between the two models when it comes to 5-string. It makes that extra 5 pounds worth it!
