| | | | Can you suggest me an amp/stack?

I'm currently on a budget and need a good amp for club shows. Not counting tax or warrentees, I'm looking for something no more then $600. My main bass is a Schecter Stilletto Custom and I play mainly classic rock, with some modern hard rock as well. Any suggestions?
I should state right now that I'm buying new. I'm not going into details why, but I'm buying new.

| | | | Acoustic 200h w/ 115 is $350, you could get another cabinet within your budget, and would be plenty loud/rock ish.

Your advice did help. It was my fault for not saying "new". I currently have a used Peavey amp that works nicely for practice but is awful at live shows (even open mic nights). |

I was just saying at MF the 200H w/ 410 is $550, so you could get the 200H w/ 115($350) and the 410 separate for $650, and have plenty of amp/cab for a variety of situations. $650 is way cheap for a new full stack. http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend....ice%7c0&rpp=20

Down the road I'll by the 410 seperately. We have a few shows coming up so I'll have an idea at our next show if I need a bit more "umph".
Plus the Mrs. didn't sound too thrilled when I mentioned how much I was originally planning on spending |

It's $650 at Sam Ash. http://www.samash.com/p/Hartke_HyDri...210C_-49954135

You can get better stuff if you buy used though.

The only thing I'm not too thrilled about with them is the weight. A GK mb200 with the 210 extension is a light weight and you could always get another 210 for extra oomph but just the head with one is about your price limit that the mrs. isn't too psyched about.

I used to have this. Ashdown mag 300. Used to own the 5 string version of the bass you have too. they both sound great together. I ran it with a mag 410 and 115. it was very very loud. it may push you a little over budget. But it sounds good. Either cab alone with this head sounded great too. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
