Particularly if you go with a numerically lower rear end gear. Had a bud with a 90's 'burb. He ordered it with either a 2.73 or 3.23, not sure which. Over the road, towing a tournament ski boat he was getting low 20's. Thats near 4000 lbs incl trailer and packed for a weekend of drinking...uh, skiing....

My outback get's around 24 provided I'm not being a led foot. All wheel drive tends to suck the gas down. Great for getting up to the ski hill, or my house though...

I had a 68 bug. In the late 60s to mid 70s I had a 63 bassman head with a custom made 2-15 cab that was an exact Fender look alike, except it was a bit smaller than a Dual Showman. I think it was about 24X36X12. I hauled those to hundreds of gigs in the back seat of the beatle. Getting the cab in and out was a PITA but I was young and strong then. Even being very careful, I tore up the seat pretty badly in the beatle and other cars I used, so you may want to consider that, since a 73 Super Beatle is more of a collector car now.

I fully understand wanting something unique, I'm the same way, but it usualy comes with a hefty price tag.
