Carvin B1500 LIGHT?

Sign in to disble this ad
I own a Carvin B1500 and I love the tone of this amp.
However this is a somewaht big, heavy and very powerful amp which is not suited for low wattage situations.

What would you recommend in the new light category (small box 300 to 500 watts) that sound a bit like it.

I have tried The Carvin BX500 and it does not seem to quite hit that tone. The LMIII seems more colored in tone and so is the RH450.

The Markbass F1/F500 seem to get pretty close in a somewhat warmer stye.

That being said, I have not had the chance to hear them side by side with my gear.

If you have experience with the B1500 and lighter heads your insight would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance, as always.
