Carvin B2000 or GB ShuttleMax 12.0

So which one would you choose and why?
Ignore $ as a factor.... assume they are they same cost.

I'm thinking:
Ability to run 1 or 2, 4 Ohm Cabs
Reliability
Overall Power
Tonal Flexibility
Weight
DI quality

As I'm sure you know, they will both run either a single 4-ohm cab, or two of them. For overall power and available headroom, the Carvin wins easily. Got big cabs for big volume? Get the B2000. Smaller cabs? The ShuttleMax might suffice.

But on tonal flexibility & weight? That's a no-brainer. The ShuttleMAX wins. The parametric EQ section - for each channel - has got to be very impressive.

Reliability and DI quality? Couldn't say. Waiting for others to chime in here...

+1

I have the B2000 and love it! But... Some of the things the ShuttleMax can do are fantastic (From fiddling around with it at my local music store) and will probably get one eventually... Not as a replacement necessarily but as an addition. It would seem it really depends on your needs...

They don't cost them same if I'm not mistaken, The Carvin's a LOT cheaper.
I played the Carvin in San Diego a couple of months ago and fell in love with it's simplicity and tone. I own the BX1200, a much more complex amp, but I would trade it for the B2000 + a few bucks.
