Just got the BR515N combo from Carvin. I like it a lot so far but wanted to explore my options. I would like to be able to use the head to its full potential 500w. Which leads leads me to my dilema. What cab do I pair it with???

Try an 8 ohm Carvin 1x15 or 2x10. That will give you the full 500 watts.

BEARDBASS: What extension cab did you go with?

Wonder if a Carvin BR118N would be too much bottom...
if there is such a thing.

I have a BR115N. I like it a whole lot better that the RL118 I had.

With the Carvin combo I had I got a sound I liked a lot by adding a Fender Pro210. It definitely added volume and rounded out the sound. IMO adding another 15 would be too heavy on the low end.

I prefer a 4x10,and a 1x15. A 4x10 as a stand alone seems like it is missing something.
