carvin BRX10.2 vs BRX10.4 (non neo)

Hey all,

Wondering if anyone has tried either of these cabs (the new non neo version) even better, how do 2 of the 210s sound compared to one of the 410s? How do they sound compared to other cabs out there? SWR, Genz Benz etc...

I'll be using a Carvin B1500 head and a 4 string Jazz..

I have no experience with these cabs. However, I believe you will be better served with two 210's. You can stack them vertically for bigger stages or just use a 210 tilted at smaller shows. More versatility for sure. The vertical stacking allows great volume dispersion - as good as a 810 in many cases. This is coming from a dude who previously used two Mesa 410's or two Eden 410xlt's. I currently use two DNA 210's - stacked vertically or tilted for other shows. They sound wonderful. Plenty loud too. I have no need for more/bigger cabs.

There is a common misconception that vertical stacking 2x10 loses low end. This is because you hear your mids and highs so much better than 4x10 when standing in front of it. The top cab does not decouple from the floor.
