Those of you who have experience with both of these cabs what is your opinion?

i have a brx 210 and am happy with it. it seems like a well constructed cab.i own the 410 version and decided to pick up the 210 for smaller venues,it does very well for me in small to medium rooms. I play hard rock and gig it or 410 every weekend. no experience with other cab.

Would you describe it as dark, bright or neutral?

If you want a light duty cab that sounds a lot like a mini SVT, the 210AV is your guy. Needs a little bass boost to cop the mojo, but mojo it's got. But despite the Carvin's extremely dubious claim of superhuman specs, I'm sure it'll go lower and louder than the 210AV, as that's what it's designed to do.

Sounding like a mini SVT would definitely be a good thing. At this point I would be driving it with my EA Clarus. Don't know if one cab would sound better than the other in that configuration. In case you haven't guessed I'm mostly an upright jazz guy looking to get back to playing some BG.

I would describe them as dark. I know everyone says that carvin is not truthful on specs,I dont know. What i do know is that i drive both cabs pretty hard and have never heard them fart out. They are a bit heavy for neo's but i like that. people say they put junk speakers in them,in my experience with them thats just not true, they sound good, they handle alot of wattage and what i do know is they are very well constructed boxes.clear, punchy and dark sounding to my ears.

The Carvin NEO speakers loaded in the BRX cabs are good speakers. Better than the standard BR series ceramic speakers in every way.
The construction of the BRX cabs is outstanding and the tone is deep, smooth and pure.
I can’t compare it to the Ampeg though. I would try the Ampeg first and if it doesn’t float your boat, order the Carvin.
Even if you like it but don’t love it, you can order the Carvin and send it back within 10 days for a refund.
If you love the sound of the Ampeg, no point in trying the Carvin because it will sound different.

would the BRX10.2 match up well with the TC RH450 or750?

I'd imagine it would match up to any decent amp rather well. I've used my 10.2 at band practices only, but been very happy with the results with current Genz Benz amps, 80's Mesa D180, '71 Fender 400PS among others. Mostly straightforward rock, but a range of tones. Handles the 5 string low end well. To my ears does not color the sound like vintage Sunn, Ampeg, EV cabs do. This may be a plus or a minus.
