Carvin BRX10.4NEO vs. Eden EX410 vs. Avatar B410Neo

Looking for an efficient 4x10 4 ohm cab for an Eden E300 bass head. I have read many threads here, there are fans for all of them. I am hoping someone has a handle on how efficient they are or have used them with a similarly powered amp. Any guidance appreciated.

I'd go for 2x12 box insted- lighter and less drivers to replace!

GK 2x12 is awsome!- and Genz Benz

Accurate, honest specs do not exist for any of these, so the only way to make a valid comparison is by playing through them side by side. If you don't have that option keep in mind that the larger the cab the bigger the bottom end.

I like the Carvin because of the finish(no rat furr), looks solid, many say Eden pairs best with Eden , Avatar (buy it, it's yours) has a lovefest on here but the finish isn't as nice and rear input panel looks like it won't last. Had a line on a deal on the Ampeg SVT-410HLF but hear its a power hog. I guess I need a local store who carries a full line of bass cabs.

Avatar 410 neo. Best bang for the buck by far. Carvin is nice, but heavy even for a neo, and if you are buying a neo setup because they are easier to move, get one that is actually light. Eden are also nice, but pricey. I run a Carvin b1500 through 2 Avatar 410 neo's with the new Eden WTDI pedal and its a beast. The Avatars are easy to lift. I think my SKB rack with that head, tuner etc is heavier (at least if feels that way when I pop that bitch on top). There is a love fest for Avatars on this site, because they're good and reasonably cheap. I've hauled them all over and they are quite durable.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you consider the Avatar a "loud" or efficient cabinet?

The Carvin cabinet is a nice box. I have used one for many gigs, and it treats me well. Sounds great with my Carvin Redline 1000,or 600 heads.

I like my Avatar B410Neo, but I have no experience with the other cabs at all, so this post is mostly useless. I can't really comment if it's "loud" or not (what is loud?). It gets loud enough for me, but I run into PA for all of my gigs now, and have 900w available to it otherwise. If I can't make it loud enough in that scenario, I think that there's a problem somewhere else.

My dad has a Carvin BRX10.4 (first revision with Eminence Deltalite II 2510), and I can tell you that its a pretty amazing cab if you like a flat response with a little accentuated high mid.
It is rather efficient (104 dB so thay say) but still have an authoritive low end that doesn't fart out.
I dont know if they still use Eminence, but I would place it on my "to listen at"-list.

I know Carvin switched to Chinese made guitar speakers and they no longer use Eminence. Is this true for the bass speakers as well? I see they are not Eminence, but I'm not sure what they are.

YES!
I don't have a Avatar 410 cab but I do gig with two Avatar Neo 210 cabinets stacked as a vertical 410.
I'm with a loud, 6 pcs., country/rock group, I power the Avatars with a GK MB2-500 head.......having enough volume on stage is not a problem!
If you don't like the tuff rug covering, Avatar's can be ordered with tolex or the hard coat covering.

P.S.
I went from Eden cabinets to the two 210 Avatar Neo cabinets.......I don't regret the switch for a second.

Carvin BRX10.4NEO $569 +$50 shipping
Avatar B410 with Line-X $589 + $55 shipping
Eden EX410 with rat fur $499 Free shipping
I'd rather cry once paying more than I want to, than cry many times because I don't get the product I'm happy with.
I can't find any useful feedback on the EX410 cabinet but many seem to like the Carvin and Avatar cabs. I'll have to pull the trigger this weekend. Thanks for sharing your insights.

If you wanted 8 ohm cabinet, you could get the Hartke Hydrive 410....1000 watts, 68lbs, comes with casters, no rat fur, $599 and free shipping

I'm going to go way out on a limb here, but assuming the Carvin BRX10.4 Neo uses the NE10 driver, it appears they've traded some Xmax for better coverage through the midrange than what you'd get with the Avatar with its higher-Xmax Eminence drivers. Assuming that's the case, then it's probable you'd NOT experience the 2.5K-4K midrange suckout with the Carvin that you get with the Avatar. It's also probable that the Avatar would get louder within its operating range than the Carvin would get within its operating range (assuming enough available power on tap in each case), again because of the Avatar's higher-Xmax drivers. Have I plotted either cab? No. I'm working only off the driver specs. So, take this with a grain of salt.

I think the tone you're after should be your primary decision driver, followed closely by how much output you're looking for and in what frequency range.

I played the Carvin BRX10.4 NEO in San Diego last year and it's a great sounding cab. Thick and clear but not harsh. Construction was solid.
I cranked it up good with the B2000 head and it did NOT break up. I EQ for tone at higher levels though so destroying those speakers with that head (1200w @ 4 ohms, SUB BASS knob) is not out of the question!

And the Carvin BRX10.4 NEO takes the lead! Just as I was leaning towards the Avatar.

Hello CC

Did You end up picking up the BRX10.4NEO?

I use a lot of high end cabs with the Carvins being the least expensive and I'm very happy so far.
