Carvin BX1500 EQ Questions

Have the BX 1500 and absolutely love it. Great power and versatile. My question is that it seems like I have certain areas where my volume dips down. Example, certain strings and/or frets seem "hotter" than others when you listen to recordings or by standing in different parts of our rehearsal studio. So, do I need to do some tweaking on my equalization to solve the problem? Or is it more the acoustics of the room that might limit me? Small studio, running dual mono in 2 410 carvin cabs. Play hard rock style with one guitarist and drums. Any suggestions on setup to try would be great. Thanks!

Also - using an SX Precision short scale. New.
Was professionally set up. But could it be a fret issue???

My first though was set up issue with the bass. The problem you put forth could be a "room issue", but that would not stand true for recording if you're going direct.

^ I'm kinda agreeing with this one.

I have a BX1500 as well and I'm not experiencing this. Lately I've been working on putting my studio together so I'm paying more and more attention to room acoustics than I used to and yes I'm noticing the differences of amp placement in my "jam room".

Some bass traps in the corners of the room may help out a bit.

The EQ on the BX1500 is so versatile that, if it was an eq issue, you should be able to find the frequency that needs adjusting by running both the semi para and graphic together. I pretty much use the graphic almost exclusively, but they both can be run together.

we just record using a single mic into recording interface,
not running direct.
