 Carvin BX500 Head vs Ampeg SVT3-Pro Head

Does anyone have experience with both of these? I bought a used Ampeg SVT3-Pro a few weeks ago and I still haven't opened it. I am looking at cabs and I don't care for the weight of the Ampeg stuff but Carvin has a nice 410 and it also is offered as a package with the BX500. I will probably just keep the Ampeg head instead of selling it and getting that package (new) but it would be interesting to hear outside views on this.
