CARVIN BX500 w/8 ohm cab-Need Advice

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, I've spent the last 2 months in a hospital and am home finally. It feels so good to be home. I'm going to start rehearsal today and am going to use my BX500 with the guitard's 8 ohm bass cab. On the back of the head is a 2/4 ohm switch. Should I set the switch to 4 ohms? I usually use 2 4 ohm cabs and have the switch set to 2 ohms. Thanks for the help. Good day.

Yep, leave the switch in 4-ohm mode (out); that's for 4 and 8-ohm use.

Congrats on getting home.

it doesn't really matter that much. In the 2Ω position the amp will put less out is all.
