Carvin Combo

Does anyone have any experience with the Carvin combo with the 15" speaker and 250 watts? Will it be enough for gigs in clubs? I play with two guitars, keys and a strong drummer.

I've had multiple Carvin combos and stacks over the years and have concluded with all of them that if you have PA support they are more than enough. If you have no PA support your going to be left unheard or you will be fighting with your rig to get your "tone" without clipping your rig and blowing it up.

Most people that are using the MB15 say that they use it with an extension cabinet and it rocks. Used by itself it will be struggling against two gits. Its 200W solo and 250W with extension cabinet.

This may sound like a small point, but it's not: the MB15 is not a combo. It's a micro, designed for a specialized audience that does not include, in my opinion, most of those who are looking to buy a true combo. Its primary objective is portability, with everything else taking a back seat.

Yep .... I'll be gigging with mine this weekend and I'll be plugging in my Avatar 1x12 for sure.

Now, we do play a quite a bit in a small joint, I only use ONE cab with one of my amp heads. I plan on using
only the micro combo in that place. (2 gits - drums - keyboard)
