Celestion Bass Speakers

Sorry if there is already a thread about this, im new here, but i was wondering , in general, are Celestion Bass Speakers good? i play rock/punk style, mainly a garage band. Anyway, the 12" speaker in my Fender 75W Rumble has blown, and i was wanting to replace the speaker and was wondering if Celestion is a good choice. I know its based of personal opion, but i just want a general understanding of how good their speakers are. Thanks in advance!

It's not quite that simple. To replace a speaker, you need to either use an exact replacement, or model the box for suitable replacements. WinISD is a free download, and will get you in the right direction. Good luck, but sounds like you need a bigger amp, and more spkrs.

Their speakers are of good quality, but you can find better specs for equal or lesser price.

Hi.

Celestion makes good (great if You're a guitarist ) speakers, but You'll probably find better and broader selection for bass instrument from Eminence for example.

From the Eminence website You can also look at the recommended enclosures for different applications and see if the dimensions match Your cabinet.
That leaves the -pleasurable to some, PITA to some- designing and tuning process out of the equation.

Based on the experience I have about 10" & 12" bass combo enclosures vs. the drivers in them, I'd guess that finding a replacement will be a bit difficult.
The enclosures are generally on the small side.

Regards
Sam
