^ Agreed w/ chaos

I have to say, i have sold off a mesa m2k and purchased a mesa tube amp. I am still waiting for my new amp to come in. Being ampless, my friend was kind enough to lend me an old peavey mark IV for my band rehearsals. I was able to jam with my guitarist who uses a 100watt tube amp into a 4x12 and my drummer uses a monster double kit with 24" bass drums. What is key is that i had 2 4x10s.I find personally 8 10" speakers necessary for metal. Save your money, the more speakers the better off you'll be . Even tho I would probably not gig out with the peavey personally, i was impressed. Peavey is great, the US stuff, and cheap too.

Save up and get Mesa cabs!!
A GK 800rb is a great cheap route as well.

Good luck

Go with peavey! Rock solid and yet pretty cheap when used. Played several of these, never MY sound but at least sound and volume!!!
