Cheap, light weight amps

Sign in to disble this ad
Recommendations, please! I want a bass amp/cab that's fairly cheap (below £700) and light weight, but I want something that's over 400 watts; if it's a cab you recommend, please suggest a good head.
Cheers!

Good luck in finding 'cheap' light cabs these days. Neodymium pricing has escalated alarmingly in the last two months.

All right, I meant things that won't make you bust a gut picking up xD

I know they're gonna weight at least 35KG, but that's okay... in response to picking 2, I pick LOUD & CHEAP

Ok so now you have to sacrifice weight. Loud, cheap, and heavy.

I used to have a Yamaha BBT500H that probably fits your bill. It wasn't a bad amp at all.

I would say that the mbe/mb amps are light, cheap and loud

Peavey IPR or Crown XLS amp, VT pedal for amp section, couple of used 2-10s or 2-12s or 1-15 cabs. That should be doable under US$800 which should be under your budget, take the savings and have more beer at your gigs and rehearsals
