cheapest 1x15 neo cabinet

hey guys. i'm sure you probably get this question every couple days, but my searches didn't yield and good results so I figured I would ask. I just purchased a GK mb210, and i need myself a 15" cab for the 'big club' dates i occasionally do. The plan is to use the mb210 at home/practice/small gigs and use the pair at a big gig.

the catch is that i'm a cheapskate so i'm trying to save my pennies up and get something decent asap.

i know i can get a Gallien-Krueger 115MBE, for around $299 free shipping from musicians fiend



i can get a carvin BR115N-8 for $349.99 plus $50 or so shipping



and then... i guess i'm looking for more ideas. the GK is back ordered on the boat from china i guess, and the carvin is maybe 'spensive. i seen some avatar stuff but i don't think they do a 115 anymore.

A G-K 210MBE would match your MB210 combo's cab, speakers, power handling, tone & amplitude, and thus would form the most prudent/musical investment.

Value > price.

I like a 15 or 18 with my 10s, myself, but I do agree that the midrange frequencies step all over each other in unpredictable ways if it's not biamped...so if you have that option I'd recommend it.

GK and Carvin rate high, bang-for-the-buck-wise, so I think you're on the right track. I'd probably go with the GK because...it'd match. That sort of thing does feel good on stage.
