More bells and whistles on the Carvin. I have the BX1500, and , so far, it's my fave head.

The cheapest new (to you) amp is to buy something here on TB classified forum - your money will go further.

The BX1500 is my #2 amplifier. Light, powerful with lots of features.

Fender Rumble 350 is how I'd roll if I was buying a cheap head new. Looks like basically a Shuttle 6.0 with no tube (which, to be honest, is the thing I hate the most about the Shuttle line). They sound pretty sick too

These are kind of interesting, especially the Rumble 350. I must admit, I never look at Fender bass heads at all when thinking about making aa purchase. Wonder why they did'nt do a Rumble 500, instead of a Rumble 150 ?

I'd like to know whether we're talking about amp heads or an entire rig with cabs and all.

Can you pump any of it into the PA?

Gallien-Krueger Backline 600 head. 3 bills new.
Pair it up with a pair of 8 ohm cabs, and you'll
have a potent rig that will certainly hold it's own
on even a larger club date, and you can just use
one of the cabs if you need to tone it down a bit.
And IMHO, the Hartke 210XL and 115XL are a
sure bet. Affordable, reliable, and the GK amp/Hartke
cab setup has been known for years as a winning
combination.

This ^^^

If budget is the most important thing, the PF350 is nearly as good, and is $100 less.

They must be doing a closeout. Hope they come out with a class-d version.

Huh. That's a neat little amp. I'd give it a go. My son has a Line 6 modeling guitar amp and it's really cool.

Guitar Center has a clearance on Little Mark IIs for $369.99. Hard to beat that for value.

Their web site says $599 for the Little Mark II. (At least to me it does.) I'd save a bill and get the GK MB500 for $499.
