That has to say something. More than enough decent players around that could sit down with it and something like Zoom H2 and get a quality sound recording.
But that's 'if' the product is capable of it.

Seems like this "transverse waveguide" would be easy enough to build and get some idea if it's workable, based on his description in the video.
