Over 2 years since the previous thread started, and still nothing recording wise that anyone can consider quality or reliable.

That has to say something. More than enough decent players around that could sit down with it and something like Zoom H2 and get a quality sound recording.

But that's 'if' the product is capable of it.

That thread was about his circular array of small speakers that simulated a single cone of the same diameter.

Seems like this "transverse waveguide" would be easy enough to build and get some idea if it's workable, based on his description in the video.

No, it was about the circular array (see picture). No mention of the transverse waveguide.
