I mic'd up my little 12 Watt silverface Musicmaster Bass combo and got what I thought were some pretty decent tones out of it. This is with no EQ, just a little Opto Stomp compression going in and some limiting during mixing. Speaker is a 12" Jensen C12N reissue. Close mic'd with an AT3035 condenser. Amp volume and tone are on 2 and 10 respectively. MIM 62RI Jazz bass.

EDIT: i love that fuzz tone -- and the riff, that's pretty catchy shiitake right there!

Thanks -- yeah, the fuzz tone riff was a guitar amp too. A 1967 Bassman with Celestion greenback reissues in a 2x12 cab. Fuzz was a DOD Classic Fuzz, which is similar to a Big Muff except with more bass on the counterclockwise end of the tone pot rotation.
