I'm searching for best preamp for gigs. But i don't want to use rack-mount verses cuz their size.
It should be rather small (It should sit down in knapsack) and not be too heavy.
It will be very nice if this preamp will have 2 channels or even some filters realized in buttons to change sound charecter.
At the moment I've found only one variant: EBS Microbass II. Maybe anyone knows another high-quality floor preamp?
I'm a fan of the Radial Engineering Tonebone Bassbone

Sansamp VT & the Aggie Tone Hammer are worth a look though - putting em on top of the rig where you can get to the knobs seems to work for lots of folks.
The EBS Microbass II is awesome IMO/E, but it does definitely have that EBS modern clean sound to it. I find myself using it more often than any of my other preamps for live use, but if you like tubes/ampeg or want a more vintage vibe, rather go with something like the Sansamp VT
