1967 AMPEG B15N PORTAFLEX

I am not affiliated with the seller. I just saw this today and thought I would share. I would look into it except I already own one albeit not in this shape.

That's hysterical! That is a photo of my B15R but not my ad on Craigslist. That's my refinished floor, new floor molding, "Boothbay Gray" colored walls, and my B15R.

His ad provides a serial number as well as some nice details about his amp. That's not the serial # of my B15R though.
Perhaps it was just a random photo he found to use for his ad? No idea, but that's my B15R in the ad.

Thanks Dan for pointing this out and contacting me. Looks like I need to clean up some of my older photobucket images now.

LOL...you should contact the guy and ask him if he has more photos and see if he uses more of your photos from photobucket.

If not, he should be outed on CL by posting a warning. Let me know if you contact him.

Haha I hadn't even looked at the ad until you posted that, but you're right that's definitely not a B-15N. The transformers are too tall and the speaker baffle isn't aligned right for a 60s amp. Could only be a B-15R. Good catch. It could be as simple as the guy didn't have pictures and just googled some, or it could be a scam. Interesting development at least.

+1

Digital cameras these days distort images so I didn't notice the tall transformers. I am going to ask for more pictures and see what he sends me.

I like those pictures. His wall and door could use some "Boothbay Gray" though.

Well that's quite a bit different. Maybe he just wanted the iconic blue-check image on the ad? Either way, obviously a replaced power transformer and it looks like that was edited into the ad (only thing not in caps ). Not sure if I'd pay $1000 for it without the stock transformer, but still a pretty sight none the less.
