Combo Amp recommendations?

I have long been seeking a combo amp to use when the big rig is too big. I would love to get suggestions as my limited experience has yet to yield adequate results.

To start, I play a 1974 J-Bass with passive Bartolini's, a hip shot extender with DR low riders 45-105. My regular rig is a 1978 SVT head (rebuilt several times) played through a ported SVT 410 w/ attenuated horn. This set up has served me very well for many years and I have no intention of replacing it, but it is sometimes to big for the gig. I have an original SWR Redhead which is great for practice and killer for dialing the tone for late night practice through headphones, but doesn't deliver the full sound I'm looking for next to a drummer. I have experimented with an Ampeg 115 combo but can't get what I am after with it either. Am I seeking an unattainable grail? I am willing to pay for the right sound but I don't have piles of cash to throw at potential solutions. I need to carefully make a good choice.

I play in a band covering old funk & soul with a standard guitar, keys, bass, drums & three piece horn section instrumentation. Lots of James Brown, Stevie Wonder, AWB, TOP etc. so the bottom has to be solid.

I have seen some great information shared in various threads but still haven't been able to glean which combo will best fulfill my desire to approximate the SVT in a scaled down set up. I would appreciate suggestions and input.

Check out the GK MB combos. 112 & 115. Both of the series 2 cabs can add in an additional powered cab - GK.

I have an original series MB112, way loud for 200 watts, and best bottom end I have ever heard with a 12" !

The Carvin MB series are quite nice. Don't know if it will sound like an SVT, but I would't expect many combos will! However they do sound fantastic!
